My Swatch Watch's Glass Cracked

A year back, I thought of fixing or changing the cracked glass of my Swatch Irony. So, I took it to the nearby Swatch shop.

Unfortunately, they said they couldnt help to fix anything inside the watch unless changing the battery.

Is it really true that nothing can be done? Sad.
